Mango and Yogurt Smoothie

Blend 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon,

1 1/2 cups low fat plain yogurt,

2 1/2 cups frozen mango chunks,

1 tablespoon honey and the juice from

1/2 lime

 

Green Machine Smoothie

Blend 6 chopped romaine leaves;

4 kale leaves, ribs removed, chopped;

1/2 cup flat-leaf parsley sprigs;

1/2 cup chopped pineapple;

1/2 cup chopped mango;

1-inch piece fresh ginger peeled and chopped and

1 1/2 cups water

 

Peanut-Banana-Espresso Smoothie

Blend 1 cup low-fat milk;

1 tablespoon instant espresso powder;

1/4 cup natural creamy peanut butter;

1 ripe banana, cut into thirds; and

1 cup ice.

 

Berry-Orange Smoothie

Blend 1 orange, peel and pith removed with a sharp knife, quartered;

1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt;

1/2 cup raspberry sorbet; and

1/2 cup cranberry juice.

 

Pineapple and Ginger Smoothie

Blend 1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple, cut into 1-inch pieces;

1-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and chopped;

1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt;

1 cup pineapple juice;

1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon; and

1/2 cup ice (if using fresh pineapple)

 

Cucumber-Blueberry Smoothie

Blend 1 medium cucumber, peeled, seeded and cut into 1-inch pieces;

1 cup frozen blueberries;

1 cup white grape juice or pear juice; and

1/2 cup low-fat plain yogurt

 

Pom- Berry Banana Smoothie

Blend 1 orange, peel and pith removed with a sharp knife, quartered;

1 cup frozen mixed berries;

1 ripe banana, cut into thirds; and 1 cup pomegranate juice.
